Scrum Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of a product and the work of a development team. In addition, this role is responsible for managing Product Backlog. Product Ownership means to guide the process of product development towards business success and customer satisfaction, not just prioritizing work and writing User Story for the development team.
Which topics are part of the agenda?
Product ownership is much more than user stories and gives priority to work. It’s about developing a product to satisfy product user/buyer and to make a profit. As an addition to the general goals for the Scrum, the course will also introduce attendees with examples of good practice. In the first April term with Petri Heiramo will introduce attendees with role of Product Owner in the Scrum team. Heiramo is a virtuous in training, with ten-year international training experience at various corporate levels.
What kind of benefits attendees may expect?
All course participants receive an official CSPO certificate from the Scrum Alliance (a global organization for the Scrum framework). After the course, the participants will know when and for what Agile methodologies should be used and which approach is appropriate in particular situation. Furthermore, they will know what is expected of a person as a Product Owner, how to communicate with the development team and a Scrum Master, as well as with other stakeholders. Most importantly, they will know how to effectively describe the things / functionalities that customers and users want, how much detail really is useful, how to use feedback from the development team, to anticipate the opportunities, risks and consequences of the planned work, which techniques to use to “lure” valuable information and learn the needs of stakeholders, and how to inform them about progress. After the course, the participants will become the members of the Agile Serbia & CEE Region community.
Scrum is one of the most widely represented and easiest Agile frameworks in the world. In the beginning, Scrum was used in software development, while today many companies use Scrum and on complex projects in various industries. Like all Agile frameworks, it has been created to bring transparency and clarity into project planning, development and implementation. There are three basic roles in Scrum, and these are Scrum Master, Product Owner and members of development team.
